Family, friends and relations were spread all about the warren’s floor, bellies pooched upwards, at the insistence of their innards. The holiday feast, so successful, meant that nobody had energy enough to grab the remote and turn on the football game. “Oh my!” they all sighed.
Rabbit thought of all the dishes he’d wash, from all the vegetable dishes he’d prepared. Even he wasn’t ready to move, much as he loved tidying. “Oh, my!” he groaned.
Overhead, a hungry fox from another story wandered into the Hundred Acre Wood and sniffed at the warren’s entrance. “Oh, my!” he grinned.

***I don’t know why I’ve gone all dark this week!***
Carrot Ranch prompt (11/21/2022): In 99 words (no more, no less), write a story using the phrase, “Oh, my.” It can be used in storytelling or dialog. What is the cause for such a response? Have fun with this one! Go where the prompt leads!
What a hoot. Well done. 🙂

I found it more fun than dark. That fox is just doing what a fox has to do.
