The challenge? Write a story in exactly 6 sentences based on Denise’s one word prompt: PERFECT. Visit, comment, and write & post your own on SIX SENTENCE STORIES. The Café is open. Come as you are!
If at first you don’t succeed
Play a tune upon the reed.
Add an extra dash or two
Of lemon pepper, mountain dew.
If that didn’t work the way you wished
Dump it out and then…go fish.
Wash the cauldron, start again
Be sparing with the cinnamon.
Get a volunteer to taste–
To lose you now would be a waste.
If they survive, enjoy the glee, cuz
As you spell well, so mote it be.

Nice rhythm and rhyme.
I would have used “don’t” in line 5 and removed “so” in the last line.
Regardless, nice poem or spell hoping it was a blessing.

Ok. Thanks Frank.

Funny, I used “don’t” in the first write, then decided I wanted a double-beat there. 😄And “so mote it be” is kind of a classic phrase in fairy-tale and fantasy spells. 😉
