Be Kind, Rewind
We don’t exactly know when the Great Clock stopped,
But we could’ve had a sense of the pendulum’s swing faltering,
Except that everything went digital and we lost ourselves.
Feeling blocked and threatened? It’s right there, in our hands, the answer we used to believe in. Not big things, but small. Let it begin with me…
WHY NOT?
When we gaze ahead
Haze occludes our safe passage
You’re the magic key
Now is the moment
Open our eyes and our hearts
Time waits for no one

Just Jot January Day 19 – Prompt: WHY from Willow. Be sure to visit their blog to read or just say hi! See what other folks have done with the prompt, or add your own! https://lindaghill.com/2025/01/19/daily-prompt-jusjojan-the-19th-2025/
So, this month I’m doing a challenge to write a micro a day, for Just-Jot-It-January. Thanks to Linda G. Hill, bloggers in the “Play Group” have proposed a one-word prompt for each day. We share our responses back to Linda’s page, and are able to read what others come up with. I’ll post my responses every few days in bundles, to respect your in-boxes. But if a prompt tickles your imagination, please click its connecting link to read more!

Before quarantine and COVID and vaccination status became the second question in every off-the-record casual conversation. You’re hoping for a change in the weather, for a job, even a temporary job, to come around. Continue reading
