The challenge? Write a story in 6 sentences, no more & no less, and if you’d like, share your own creation or just visit and comment on others’ ideas, with GirlieOnTheEdge, Denise. The prompt is “GRID”, and here’s where you join the party: Six Sentence Stories

“A grid?” She looked out over the expanse of black, freshly-tilled dirt, steam rising as the sun rolled across and heated what she had so rapturously gone over with her rototiller earlier that morning.

“A grid,” he answered, sighing as he continued, “Lady Peabody wants everything evenly-spaced, to match the red and black checkerboard pattern of the patio.” He jerked his thumb to the space just behind them and the mansion just beyond that.

“No, but she’s new at being a lady,” he said, and rolling his eyes, added “I see a lot of maintenance in our future.”
