
Rhubarb from the DIL, strawberries fresh & light from the grocer. So of course, putting by jam for winter, but with a taste for right now! And refrigerator magnet poetry while the jars seal in a boiling water bath.

Early morning footfalls changed from soft wet pad through dew labored grass, to sharp crunch of gravel still held by night’s razor sharp chill. A faint scent of black coffee hung in the silent air; no one was in the mood for chat. They had a wrong to right.

One I can’t quite get over.
I walk miles in our footsteps
Over hill and dale, in sun and shower,
Arms locked tight about myself,
Holding you close.
When you can dance and write at the same time!
Bring on the warm season, arising from the cold.
