Disappeared 51

Six Sentence Stories

Andrew stood up, next to Joseph and half a head taller, and called, “Mom, it’s only…”

“Daddy?” squeaked Eloise.

The Twins, holding tight to Andrew’s hands, turned to each other and whispered as one, “Papa Joe?”

Bethany froze, shocked into putting her guard up; it was indeed her lost husband, but he was…different. Or maybe she was different?

With a crack, the tunnel shifted.

  1. nice action installment (of the serial) with a excellent ‘open-ended ending’

(is that a real thing, open-ended ending or am I just making it up… anyway, since it’s never a bad thing for the Reader to do the heavy-lifting when it comes to picturing a scene, I enjoyed the last sentence.)
