That final set of runes he’d carved over the plaque was a long shot, at best. He’d pleased the three weird sisters — their pause their tell – but his freedom would not go unpunished. But what was he now?
He walked through walls and deep waters, making his way to the Speakeasy, feeling small sorrow for those drowned in his escape.
He continued, finding himself atop the cliffs and outside the robber-baron’s manor. A party was in full swing. He thought to join, to charm the lissome women in the lamplight.
They looked through the Scotsman, mere shadow now.

Carrot Ranch Prompt (06/20/2022): In 99 words (no more, no less), write a story about what freedom feels like. Whose point of view do you use? Does the idea of freedom cause tension or bring hope? Let the reader feel the freedom. Go where the prompt leads!

I’ve actullay got my “Spot On?” series on a page… I’ve used some of the CR prompts for it. But not all.

I go with what fits. I only do about half a dozen prompts these days. And I can slip in 1-4 (maybe more) depending on how my brain makes them fit 😀
