Donor (6-Sentence Story)

Her heels tapped across the marble floor at an unbelievable fast clip, given she had stilettos on. She had to step carefully, lest they slip out from under her down the long, darkened hallway; with her particular disorder, she’d have no chance to get what she needed if she wasn’t fast and secretive. Why she’d agreed to meet here was beyond her, except that something in the back of her mind told her she would find the sustenance she needed in this universal donor.

“Mr. O+?” she asked the man at the shadowy end of the hallway, her voice throaty with hunger.

“That’s me,” he answered, stepping into the half light, his throat bared, the carotid throbbing like a dark drumbeat.

“You’re just what I’ve been looking for,” she murmured as she dug her fangs into his throat.
